The original Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp was launched in 2017, and its latest iteration, Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Complete, is a one-time purchase app that consolidates seven years' worth of items and events. It maintains the core gameplay of its predecessor while eliminating the need for additional in-game purchases.

As the campsite manager, players are tasked with creating an engaging and enjoyable environment. Beyond campsite management, players can engage in activities such as fishing, bug catching, conversing with various animal characters, and collecting furniture items. The game allows customization through character attire and offers opportunities to explore leisurely options within camp life.
